Kate Winslet
Born on the 5th of October, 1975 in Reading, England. Kate Winslet is a five-time Academy Award-nominated, Golden Globe-nominated, Emmy Award-nominated, BAFTA, Grammy and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning English actress. She is known to be the English Rose.
She is noted for having played a wide range of diverse characters over her career, but is probably best-known for her critically acclaimed performances as Heavenly Creatures (1994), Sense and Sensibility, Rose DeWitt Bukater in the highest-grossing film of all time, Titanic (1997), and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). Audiences the world over fell in love with actress and her role as Rose in Titanic earned Kate Winslet another Academy nomination for Best Actress, thus making her the youngest actress to ever receive two Academy nominations.
